The Real First Day!

David was so excited to complete his checklist to be sure he had everything for his first day of school. Here is is with Lewis before Lewis took off to go to his first day - in his new green sweatshirt, of course!

Here's my excited little kindergartner!!!

Beau had a good energy for the first day. He got a little anxious waiting in the spaced out line for temperature checks, but he went in and had a great first day.

The kindergartners congregated at the black top so they could walk in together with their teacher. Here are David and Connor - so glad that our neighbor and friend is in David's class. David has Ms. Canavera - our favorite ever teacher from Beau's 1st grade year. 

Beau, by the way, was able to go and meet his teachers a couple days before school began. They are amazing. Ms. Mueller is new to our district and very young, but has a wonderful energy, is very positive, wise, caring, and calm. He also has Ms. Sebastian, a special ed teacher because he's in a collaborative classroom. While she's not specifically there for him, we are so grateful and feel like the two of them are heaven sent. Beau thinks they're his favorite teachers ever. 

After I dropped the kids on their first full day, I headed to Princeton Montessori to finish up what amounted to hours of work assembling materials and new, personal instrument kits for the year. I'm quite excited about them!
