September - Back to School

We got back from Idaho and quickly shifted gears for back to school.

This year we did crazy sundaes on chocolate chip cookie bars as part of our back to school theme kick off. Our theme this year is "Build on the Foundation of Christ", so we built our sundae towers on the cookie bars. It was fun!

First day for everyone. Lewis was off first, bright and early!

Then the other two were off to Toll Gate for the opening ceremony on the blacktop.

August Trip to Idaho

We had a great visit out to Idaho to see all the family.

Didi and Papa John were so generous and amazing to rent this incredible home just a half hour outside of Boise. It had everything you could possibly imagine. The most lovely pool with a hot tub, slide, and basketball hoop. A beach, pond for paddle boarding, firepit, volleyball, frisbee golf, croquet, etc. Inside had a movie theater, amazingly huge kitchen, and so many lovely bedrooms. It was such a treat! The boys also discovered that the slide went really fast if you weren't wearing anything, so that was the outfit of choice for a few days!!!

We had two visits to the amazing house with visits to Boise in between. Beau loved playing lots of basketball. We had plenty of games with the family. Lots of time to hang out and chat. And, Beau got in a lot of golf with his uncles and Papa John, which was really special. We also all went go karting together with Papa John - super fun memory.

Papa John treated us to the most amazing outing going white water rafting together. It was such a gorgeous day and we had a blast.

Back at the amazing rental house, this time with a bit more family.

The rooms all had bathrobes, and we took a completely hysterical photo session together, all in our fancy bathrobes.

I took the boys to the zoo and we had a fun visit together.

And then, Scott and Alyssa's wedding!!!
We were so excited to be able to celebrate together with them. It was a beautiful ceremony and a fun, casual, lovely reception at their house. My favorite was the dancing. Lewis enjoyed quite a bit, but David was my dancing buddy, tearing up the floor all evening.

Fun family memories!

Just a capture of the journey home - arm wrestling while double masked.
