May - Brie's Wedding & Family fun

A cute moment together in May!

Mike and I were able to sneak away, thanks to the amazing generosity of Jonathan Spencer, to be with Brie and the family for her sealing. It was such a quick trip, but so special!

My shoulder was giving me trouble, so I had my own baggage handler in the airport. Quite a nice way to do it! The sealing was lovely, and we really loved time with the family.

We snuck in a quick breakfast visit with Fiona and Terryl before we flew out. We were so grateful to see them!

I went straight into doing a couple classes for a photo shoot for Music Together. I felt prepared though, and I think it all went really well. 

Cicadas!!!!! Can't believe I'm experience another Brood X 17 year cicada phenomenon!

Student of the month for Lewis for his team at Timberlane! So proud of him!

Lewis and I went to see a brass group from the Princeton Symphony Orchestra perform outdoors at Morven. It was lovely! 

Outdoor playdates are now a staple. 

Why do my boys love collecting empty cans! And, why do they drink this much sparkling water!

Lewis was asked to perform the National Anthem for Princeton's Memorial Day event. It was a small event because of covid, but was broadcast. He did wonderfully! 

No Memorial Day Parade this year b/c of covid, but the firetrucks came through town. It was fun to see!

And, first day at the pool for the season!

May - Mother's Day

After I got back from my weekend away, Mike flew out to Boise for a week and a half to be with his mom after her cancer surgery. So, for the first time, I spent Mother's Day without a husband to help it be celebrated. It was not easy, but it was OK. 

Here are my pretty flowers in my new pitcher. 

And, Auntie Dawn spoiled me and send the most beautiful bouquet of flowers. 

The boys were so sweet and did breakfast in bed for me! It was so sweet of them. 

We did our picnic up at Goat Hill a bit after Mother's Day because it ended up being a rainy afternoon on Mother's Day. We had a really fun time and did Ben and Jerry's ice cream up there. There were a couple funny snafus', including David needing to go #2, and then Beau accidentally stepped in it during a game of sardines. But, still glad we went! 

I took Marissa and Natashia out to lunch one more time before they graduated. I love having these relationships with these students.
