CT, Cape Cod, Westport - Summer fun and Beach

We had a really lovely family trip in August. There was a last minute change to it. We had planned to visit Hilary in Nantucket. At the last minute, she wasn't able to do it, so we were able to squeeze in a visit to the Reeds in CT, a trip to Tanglewood to see Yo-Yo Ma, and a visit to Cape Cod, staying at Ocean's Edge in Brewster. Lots of biking, lots of beautiful beaches, and great food. We finished up the trip with a stay in Westport, gorgeous beach time there, and a quick pop over to Martha's Vineyard.

At the amazing concert in Tanglewood. Really special!

Quick visit to Chatham as our first stop on the Cape.

A little pool time and even some karaoke.

We loved the rail trail on the Cape. It was definitely a highlight for me!

We had a spectacular day at Nauset Beach!

One more beach day in Wellfleet before heading to Westport...and lots of lobster rolls and good food and walks in between.

We actually had the best ever beach day in Westport - of course! That beach is amazing. The waves were perfect and we boogie boarded to our hearts' content.

We had a quick day trip over to Martha's Vineyard. It was packed like crazy with all the post-covid summer travelers. We had a nice meal, rode the oldest carousal in the country and loved the brass rings, took a bit of a bike ride, and rode the ferry back over to Westport.

We stopped by CAV in Providence on the way back home to eat.

This boy was very proud of the meal he made himself back at home.
