End of February

Yay for daffodils...especially in the snow! :-)

One of my pandemic hacks was to have fresh flowers in the house almost all the time. It is such a little delight that makes a big difference.

It snowed...again. We had to clear the driveway...again!

Mike was again when this happened...again!

Mike traveled out to be with his mom for her chemo treatment/ surgery three times across the first few months of the year. Each time he went for about 12 days and worked remotely. Each time was really meaningful, special time for him. Each time was just fine for me and the boys. But, I'm pretty sure it snowed at least twice each time he went. Thank goodness for amazing neighbors with snow blowers who helped a lot. And, thank goodness for boys who helped...or at least tried to. :-)

The Bahr's came over, and all sorts of antics ensued, as always, plus the reveal of a very cool, glow in the dark puzzle.

We did break down just before Mike came back from this particular trip and went to skyzone. We hadn't been doing any indoor activities or things with more people around. But, it just felt like we needed something, and this was a lot of fun.

We celebrated St. David's day a day or two early so it could be on the weekend. Welsh cakes all round (though with chocolate chips so the boys would eat!).

And, a brilliant production - high quality dinner theater!

Elk Mountain

We had a lovely getaway to Elk Mountain for President's Day Weekend.

It was so beautiful there. We loved the views, really enjoyed the skiing, and were really happy with the house we stayed at right on a frozen lake. It was absolutely freezing the whole time we were gone - highs at about 20 degrees. But, we bundled up, and did pretty well!

David and I did 2 out of the 3 days of skiing, and then took a day to just play in the snow at home.

Beginning of February - Lots of Snow, Chinese New Year

We had SO much snow this winter! It was a constant snow day party....with only 1 actual snow day...because now that everything can be done remotely, no need to have a snow day!

This particular snow fall was the best we've ever had for snowmen. I think we had about 13 snow people around our yard by the end of the day!

Mike played the most hysterical joke on Lewis. Here is the plate I originally left for him as a snack, followed by the plate Mike left instead! Hahahaha!
